Beginners category is open to all dancers who have not competed before or who have competed but not placed top 3.

JOANNE KIRKLAND
Jo started dancing at age 4, showing great aptitude for dance; progressing successfully through all her grades. During this period, she also competed in high-level competitions, achieving the status of British Ballet Champion in 1976. Jo went on to perform professionally in both theatre and television. Starting her own very successful dance school in 1985, Jo has taught pupils who have gone on to work within the industry as well as being instrumental in coaching teachers with their own professional development. Jo became a Fellow herself in all 4 Theatre Genre, plus freestyle and adding Street, Cheer, Dance exercise and Gymnastic Diplomas to her portfolio. In 2002 Jo became an IDTA examiner. In July 2017 she was honoured to be voted on to the IDTA Board of Directors as well as the IDTA Ballet Faculty, serving it’s members worldwide. Over the last few years, she has travelled the world extensively examining and lecturing for IDTA. As an Adjudicator, Jo is honoured to be on the TDCI & Miss Dance official adjudicators list, she has been fortunate to be part of the adjudicator ‘s panel at the TDCI British Championships in 2012 as well as working extensively across the UK and overseas adjudicating many other festivals. As a member of the Miss Dance & Dance Master committee since 2013, Jo has been involved with organising this most prestigious event. Her role as joint Chair brings her in touch with dance teachers and pupil’s countrywide. I was honoured to be asked to adjudicate this Festival and wish everyone taking part, all the very best of luck.
KERIM
Kerim (Special K) is known for his in-depth concepts and story-telling, using movement to create captivating narratives to engage with his audiences. Over 12 years experience in competing, judging and teaching nationally and internationally, Kerim continues to push the boundaries of his art form. Knowledgeable in his chosen style and a specialist in concept creation, development and exploration. Kerim a passionate teacher and mentor, has developed workshop models that support young, emerging and professional dancers to not only understand the foundations and techniques of Poppin but to begin to experiment and challenge how to creatively explore their own practice and movement..
DOLLIE HENRY
Jazz Artist | Choreographer | Director | Creative | Educator | Author Dollie has led a respected career of over 36 years as a performer, choreographer, director, creative Jazz artist and educator and is recognised as one of the most formidable exponents of artistic and creative Jazz dance and theatre dance in the UK, Europe and internationally. She has shared her passion and philosophy of creative dance in every continent of the world, with a reputation that is widely revered and respected. Dollie started dancing at the age of four and went on to professionally train at Laine Theatre Arts (UK) receiving her teaching qualifications with ISTD for Ballet, Modern and Tap, her LAMDA Drama Certificates (Bronze-Gold Medals) and was awarded 'Most Outstanding Student' in performance and choreography. At 17, she was invited to join The Olivier Briac Dance Company based in France as soloist dancer, later becoming resident choreographer and assistant director. Returning to England at 19, Dollie was invited by director & choreographer Dougie Squires to join his company The Second Generation for TV work in the U.K and Europe, numerous dance/musical productions and assistant to Mr. Squires..
ANDREW CHADWICK
Andrew Chadwick is a Musical Theatre Performer, Teacher and Choreographer from Blackpool. He trained at Phil Winstons Theatreworks in Blackpool and is a long-standing teacher and Lecturer for IDTA schools around the country and the world. He has taught and choreographed from Germany to Spain and Portugal and as far away as China and Australia. Andrew has a vast experience in performing in Musicals including performing lead roles such as Rusty in Starlight Express , Mungojerry in Cats, Bobby C in Saturday Night Fever, Dance captain in Fame along with many other theatre credits. Andrew has also appeared in Disneys recent Major Motion Picture Remake of Beauty and the Beast where he danced the role of Lumiere. He has Just finished performing and playing the lead role in Disneys hit musical Tarzan. And has spent the last year on a European Tour of Workshops teaching in over 12 countries, covering hundreds of schools and thousands of students.
KAYLA LOMAS-KIRTON
Professional dance artist Kayla Lomas-Kirton is highly respected for her versatility. Kayla has trained in a multitude of dance styles, which has led her to become a leading member and choreographer for Birdgang Company. Kayla has also worked as an assistant choreographer for So You Think You Can Dance UK. As a dancer Kayla’s theatre credits include; Into the Hoods, Some Like It Hip Hop, The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, (Zoonation) Redd, The Five and the Prophecy of Prana (Boy Blue), Daughter Daughter (Joesph Toonga), Thriller Live (Westend), The Head Wrap Diaries Extract (Uchenna), SOHO, Riverdance, Heartbeat of Home, Blaze and Breaking Convention.Her artist credits include Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, Bebe Rexha, Stefflon Don, Emeli Sande, Rita Ora, Busted, Akon and Nile Rodgers.Kayla has also performed at the London 2012 Olympics and Baku 2015 European Games. Alongside her professional dance career Kayla also has a passion for teaching and working with the new generations of dancers aspiring them to follow their passion too. By leading workshops, teaching classes and judging competitions around the world, she hopes she can assist that journey for others and continue to spread the love of dance and performance.
